This Privacy Policy explains how Quila Challenge  collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Quila Challenge mobile application . By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account information  name, username, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account, and a one-time verification code (OTP) used to verify your identity.
• Profile information — profile photo and any other details you add to your profile.
• Content you create — challenges, photo and video submissions, comments, likes, chat and group messages, feedback, and reports you submit.
• Google Sign-In — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data — device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and basic interaction data used to operate and improve the App.
• Network status — whether your device is online, to manage connectivity within the App.

Device permissions

The App requests access to your camera and photo/media library only when you choose to upload a profile photo or submit a challenge entry. You can revoke these permissions in your device settings at any time.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and verify your identity (including OTP verification).
• To operate core features: challenges, entries, likes, comments, friends, groups, and real-time chat.
• To manage your in-app wallet and reward coin balance. Coins are virtual items with no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• To send push notifications about activity relevant to you (new messages, challenge updates, friend requests). You can disable notifications in your device settings.
• To review reports, enforce our community guidelines, and keep the platform safe.
• To fix bugs, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the App.

3. How Your Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only in these cases:

• With other users — your username, profile photo, challenges, entries, comments, and messages are visible to other users as part of the App's social features.
• Service providers — we use trusted third-party services to operate the App, including Google Firebase (authentication, push notifications) and our hosting and real-time messaging infrastructure. These providers process data only on our behalf.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
• Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

5. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at ccquila@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete my account", or through the account settings inside the App. Once processed, your profile, content, wallet balance, and personal data will be permanently removed.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure on-device storage of authentication tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

7. Children's Privacy

Quila Challenge is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. User-Generated Content & Safety

The App includes tools to report and block users or content that violates our community guidelines. Reported content is reviewed by our team, and accounts that violate our rules may be suspended or removed.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the App.
